Doug has been a licensed real estate agent and selling Outer Banks real estate since 1984. Doug moved to the Outer Banks in 1984 after working as a CPA in Richmond and Southwest Virginia. His first visit to the beach was in 1962. After 25 years of experience, he has been involved in all aspects of the industry and is able to help you with any transaction, listing your home, buying a home or rental management. He lives in Southern Shores with his wife Joan and 4 year old daughter Raegan. His office is in the Brindley Building in Corolla, he oversees the rental operations as owner of the company and assists in sales. He is active in daily listing and sales.

Cecil Myers is formerly from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He relocated his family to the Outer Banks in 1992. Ben Seal has lived in the Outer Banks since 1979 and he received his Real Estate License in 1986.  He previously was a Sales Broker with BD&A.  Ben Earned 10 years of Top Producer awards with previous companies.  He was instrumental in development and marketing of 1,000 resort, retirement, oceanfront, marina and golf communites throughout Eastern North Carolina.  Ben also worked with Pine Island, Buck Island, Hatteras Landing, Chocowinity and Taberna.  He was also key in the Re-development of Carolinian, Pebble Bach and Hatteras Island Estates properties.

After moving to the Outer Banks with her husband, Dave, and their two boys in August of 1986, Penny Stormont wondered if she would ever adjust to leaving Virginia Beach. Well, she is happy to say that it was the 'best' move she ever made. No traffic reports or interstate driving...just a few stray horses to deal with and a deer or two! In 1975, Penny graduated from Mary Baldwin College and promptly married, 'the boy next door' who had just graduated from VMI. She actually sold one of her first lots in Whalehead Beach to a VMI graduate who noticed the VMI sticker on her car. Born and raised in Lynchburg, VA. Dart Neher’s love for the sea began at an early age when on a trip to Nantucket, his dad fell in love with sailing. His summers were spent living on the boat sailing around the Chesapeake Bay. At sixteen, Dart began his own love affair with the sea that grew out of surfing.
Bouncing in and out of the Outer Banks during the early 70’s, Dart wondered how in the world he would be able to live in such a remote area with work being so seasonal. So back to school he went to finish with a Business and Accounting Degree and spent 10 years in accounting. As Dart grew up, so did the Outer Banks and in 1987 with the love of his life, wife Nancy and their two children, Kate and Matt, moved here for good. Not only is Melanie selling real estate on the Outer Banks but she is investing in it as well. She is very dedicated and passionate about her business... her priority is to provide exceptional service to each of her clients throughout the entire process of buying and selling real estate.

After graduating from West Virginia University, Melanie moved to the Outer Banks in 1993. Prior to her real estate career, she operated a group of retail stores that spanned the length of the Outer Banks from Corolla to Avon so she knows the Outer Banks real estate market from top to bottom! She traveled to many exotic places as a buyer for the stores, including Thailand, Indonesia, and India, but always loved coming home to her favorite place, the Outer Banks!

Jim graduated from Bucknell University with a BS degree in Commerce and Finance.  He entered the commercial furniture industry and eventually established a sales/marketing organization representing seven national furniture manufacturers in the southeastern states. 

"Virginia and I first discovered the OUter Banks while on vacation with our three children in 1967.  We fell in love with the area and built a cottage in Nags Head in 1971.  We moved here in 1995, and built our home in Southern Shores."

Ralph H Hodges III was born and raised on the Pamlico River in Washington, NC. He graduated from Washington High School and attended the Citadel in Charleston, SC. He learned the lending business early from his father who was President of Seaboard Savings and Loan and Chairman of the Board of the North Carolina Savings and Loan Association. Linda bought her first “beach home” in the Outer Banks in 2005, having vacationed with her family here since the mid seventies. Active as a Real Estate Professional and a partner in the residential building business since 1987, she has personally built, lived in, and sold quite a few new homes, but this was the most exciting home purchase she has experienced – a beach home of her own! A dream come true!

Linda and her husband, Marty, are now living and working from this beach home, while still maintaining their primary residence in Hanover County, Virginia. Business opportunities have created this endeavor. With their son operating the building business and daughter handling real estate business while Mom is away, business continues in Virginia. Both of these businesses are located in Goochland County.

Jennifer Spruill became a Realtor in 1988 shortly after moving to the Outer Banks from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Her Mother was a realtor here beginning in 1972. Lee Whitley was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Kensingnton, Maryland.  She discovered the Outer Banks in August 1976 and made it her permanent home.  Lee attended College of the Albemarle and received her N.C. Brokers Real Estate license in 1981.  She was the executive assistant to the president of Kitty Hawk Land Company during the development of Southern Shores, Se Pines and Ocean Crest in Duck, and The Currituck Club.  Over the past 15 years, she has promoted the Outer Banks life style at Live South Real Estate shows, and at the Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale Boat Shows.  She has honed her skills assisting buyers and sellers for all types of real estate needs on the Outer Banks - relocation, retirement, investment and first-time home buyers with properties ranging from modest starter homes to large oceanfront rental properties, single family home sites following through to the construction phase, boat slips and commercial properties.  Most recently, she was the Sales Manager for Marshes light, a new waterfront marina community, which is located in the historic district of downtown Manteo.  Lee writes lifestyle blog about the Outer Banks at www.beachroadtomanteo.com

Leslie moved to the Outer Banks in April of 2004 and has been working in the Real Estate business since September of that same year.  She started as an agent’s assistant and then moved to marketing and office admin for Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty.  She joined the Brindley Beach team in January of 2009 and earned her Real Estate license in February of 2009.  She is excited for the opportunity to work for, and grow, with such a strong company.

In her spare time, Leslie has been a part of the planning of several fund raisers on the Outer Banks.  Some of those include Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, Carolista Festival, and Breast Cancer Research.  Leslie has been an active participant with the Town of Ducks Annual Jazz Festival and 4th of July Parade and the Native Vine Wine Festivals.  She can also be found, several nights a week, shaking a mean martini at a local favorite, Ocean Boulevard.
