The Community of Whalehead Beach offers a wide, inviting three-mile strand of beach. The community is made up of 3 streets that run parallel to the ocean with five public beach parking lots located on Whalehead Drive (one block back from the beach) on the cross streets of Shad, Sturgeon, Perch, Bonito, and Sailfish and a public beach access on every block. There are life guarded beaches near the Shad Street beach access and the Bonito Street beach access. The streets within Whalehead are ideal for biking, walking, and jogging. Each Whalehead home sits on a larger lot (200' x 100') with some homes connected to the new community water system and others still on well water systems with water filtration systems. All Whalehead beach homes are located within a few miles of a grocery store, restaurants, Movie Theater, and retail shops and are always close to the a beach access.
